I did kind of a fun post over at PurpleRow.com earlier this week, looking at some of the best memories in Rockies history. Granted, it’s not a long history, and also there’s the fact that the team hasn’t had an insane amount of success, either.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some seriously important and fun moments in team history even in spite of that lack of history… right?
Here are, in no particular order, a few of my picks, as well as a few picks from the commenters and readers who responded to my post over at Purple Row:
There’s no right or wrong answer, of course — it’s kind of all about what you want and what you think is important to know about Rockies history. It’s also kind of an exercise in memory and the play of baseball mythology and legend, since one of my greatest memories was apocryphal.
Anyways, here’s to enjoying some of these nostalgic videos. If you’re a Rockies fan, I’m betting you that they make you feel some type of way — perhaps if you’re a baseball fan, too. Just don’t get too deep into some of these videos, because I guarantee you will lose an entire day watching old MLB highlights on YouTube and then regret it for the rest of the week.
